BEING GREEN IS AN EVOLUTIONARY PROCESS

Long before the term "Green" became mainstream, Merrick Architecture's practice and philosophy represented environmentally and socially responsible design.  Many of the firm's projects showcase characteristics that are a virtual extension of their unique environmental context.  Moving forward, we understand that designing and being "green" is an evolutionary process.  There is no set of rules, except the objective to continually seek solutions that embrace sustainable principles appropriate to each and every unique project endeavor.  Establishing an integrated design process at the start of a project and continuing to engage the entire team through to completion is the key to a successful project.

As a practice whose ideals are grounded in providing a contribution to a healthy future, we have developed an internal sustainability agenda.  This initiative challenges us to be more "green", understanding that change can be facilitated one person, one new initiative at a time.  Check out what we're up to on the Merrick Green Agenda 2008.
