For many years, Paul Merrick has pursued his passion for the design of sailboats with the ultimate goal of hand crafting and launching his own creation.  A collection of Paul's boat sketches were first showcased about 40 years ago at the Vancouver Art Gallery at an exhibit named "Buildings, Boats, and Things."  Since then, he has refined his designs and turned his vision into reality.  On August 15, 2008, Paul's close friends and family joined him in launching his uniquely-designed and hand-crafted sailboat in Cowichan Bay.  Congratulations Paul!
