We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and driven professional to contribute to Merrick Architecture proposal, marketing, and promotional efforts.
Role and Key Responsibilities:
- Actively research project opportunities and leads on BC Bid, Bonfire, City websites etc
- Manage the preparation of high‐quality compelling RFP and Fee proposals within strict deadlines
- Act as the primary contact for RFPs – internally and externally with procurement bodies, clients, consultants, partners
- Research, write, coordinate, and edit clear, persuasive, and tailored written content for proposals
- Provide writing assistance, strategic input, and take responsibility for the impact, clarity, and delivery of proposals you are assigned to
- Strategize and lay out proposal drafts, and work with the team to customize and refine
- Create supporting graphic materials – org charts, workplan graphics, schedules
- Ensure RFP and Fee proposal submissions are compliant and required documents included
- Coordinate support services (e.g. graphics, print shop services, other administrative support, etc.) throughout the proposal lifecycle
- Track Architectural Award opportunities and assist with Architectural Award submission packages
- Develop and maintain relationships with marketing counterparts of clients, potential clients, consultants
- Research and keep current with graphics technology / production techniques
What we’re looking for:
- Prior experience in the architectural and/or interior design, engineering or construction (AEC) field preferred, professional services experience is an asset
- A minimum two years of proposal experience with a strong track record in preparing proposals and award submissions
- A Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Design or Journalism
- The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities at any time
- Strong written communication and design fundamentals
- Strong sense of graphics and ability to develop visually appealing materials
- A high level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign is a must, Photoshop and Illustrator are assets) as well as Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Use of Revu Bluebeam will be an asset.
- Being a natural self starter with the ability to prioritize, self-schedule, meet tight deadlines, and work with colleagues as a team
