The Crothall Centre, funded entirely by private donation, is the first step in an ambitious program to revitalize and expand the school’s teaching and recreational facilities. The 40,000 square feet building has been designed as a series of teaching spaces surrounding a central quadrangle and accessible from covered exterior walkways that link the staff and student facilities.
The program includes a new 150 seat lecture theatre and adjacent conference room. The architectural direction encompasses the desire to provide a building of substance using brick and other traditional materials that reflect the historic character of the adjacent 1908 school house.
